The Liebster Award

I was notified by Zhana at Confessions of an addict that she had tagged me in the Liebster Award. Thank you for tagging me and everyone should check out her blog. This is my first tag so it is fair to say I am excited about it. The Liebster Award is designed to about discovering unknown or lesser known bloggers.

The rules are as follows:

1. Thank the person who nominated you and link their blog.
2. Answer the 11 questions the nominator has given you.
3. Tag 11 bloggers who have less than 1000 readers.
4. Think of 11 questions to ask the bloggers you have nominated.
5. Let them know you've nominated them through social media or their blog.

These are the questions, so let's get started...

1. If you can choose one book to unread, which one would it be?

I don't know if I would choose to unread a book because I feel like every single book that I read has shaped my reading habit. Yes I have read some bad books however I feel like I would not unread them because then I know what a good book is.

2. If you can choose one book to reread for the first time, which one would it be?

Twilight (Twilight, #1)I feel like a lot of people would say Harry Potter but I read the first book when I was sixteen and I remember all the feelings that happened when I read the book so I don't feel like I would pick this one. So maybe I would say Twilight because I was in love with this series for a reason and I would like to see what 13 year old me was thinking.

3. Who is your fictional crush?

There are so many to choose from but I would have to say Peeta from the Hunger Games. I have liked him in the books and Josh Hutcherson playing him made it even better.

4. If you can switch places with one fictional character, which one would you choose?

I don't know if there are any fictional characters that I would actually switch places with as they always end up in bad situations or even worse dead. I think I would pass...

5. Do you prefer reading series or stand alones?

I enjoy reading both series and stand alones especially series as they make the world more expansive and you get to know characters. However I am really bad at keeping up with series so I think I would say stand alones. I do read a lot of contemporaries and a lot of them are stand alones and I do enjoy how a story wraps up after one book.

6. If you can bring back to life one dead author, who would it be and why?

I don't tend to read a lot of dead authors or classics but I think that I love to bring back Shakespeare to see what he would be like in today's society.

7. Which author do you want to meet the most and why?

John Green because I know that he doesn't do many signings and I would love to met him and discuss a lot of things including his books and the nerdfighteria. Definitely John Green.

8. Is there a fictional world you would hate to live in? Which one?

Panem. I don't think that this needs much explanation however I am going to explain it anyway. I don't really want to be in the reaping every year let alone be in the Hunger Games because lets face it I would probably die first.

9. What's your favourite position to read in?

On my bed or on a sofa but overall I am not very fussy when it comes to places to read I can almost read anywhere.

10. Which one of your posts you enjoy writing the most (book reviews, discussions, tags, other features like Top Ten Tuesday and Top 5 Wednesday)?

This is a hard question as I like writing everything for my blog and I probably would not write something if I did not like it. However I really like writing discussion post because I can do them on whatever I like and I really like sharing my views.

11. Share a book that you love, but is underrated.
Night Owls

Night Owls by Jenn Bennett. This was one of my favourite books of last year and I don't think that a lot of people have read this book so I highly recommend it.

Thank you Zhana for the great questions now to tag people.

To be honest I don't know who to tag so if you reading this want to do this with my question please do it.

So here are my questions:

1. What is your favourite book to movie adaptation?

2. Do you like listening to music when you read? If not, why?

4. What is your goodreads goal or reading goal for this year?

5. What is your favourite book cover?

6. Which author would you like to be your best friend?

7. What books are on your wishlist?

8. Is there a book you are scared to read because of the hype?

10. How to you acquire most of your books?

My Reading Tastes Are Changing

For the last couple of years, I feel like this has become a reoccurring blog post but I want to talk about it now because I think something is actually happening in my reading life. My reading tastes are changing. I've felt it for a while. I haven't really been drawn to YA titles that much anymore especially contemporary. Being busy in my time, I have been really selective in the books that I pick up so for me: the shorter, the better. And when picking up shorter books, the less likely they are to be YA. The more I am exposed to more books, the more I get to read books that I connect to Some of the books that I have picked up have really surprised me because of how much I ended up enjoying them. I think as I grow older, I am looking for different stories, different experiences and different perspectives. These don't just fit the YA mould. I also have been really into different genres like horror and the occasional thriller which have not read from before and I'm interes

Favourite Graphic Novels & Manga of 2021

As I have read a lot of books this year, I always want to give graphic novels and manga their own celebration as they often get overlooked and do make up a lot of my reading. I also find that even though I read a lot of them, it takes a lot to convince me and make it a new favourite. So here are my best... Heartstopper Volume 4 by Alice Oseman  Like everyone on the internet, I too am a massive Heartstopper fan and Volume 4 is no different. I love the relationship of Nick and Charlie and the side characters also make the series. This one also explores the way that mental health can impact romance and it still does justice to the story and does not fall into cliches. I am eagerly anticipating the final volume but I don't want it to be over.  The Impending Blindness of Billie Scott by Zoe Thorogood One of the last graphic novels I read this year and the one that has the second amount of hype, The Impending Blindness of Billie Scott also leaves a lasting impression. I love a good Briti

Book Review: The Great Godden by Meg Rossoff

   * I am reviewing this book which I was gifted for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own. * Title: The Great Godden  Author: Meg Rossoff Publisher: Bloomsbury  Source: NetGalley ( Bookshop UK |  Hive |  Goodreads  |  Storygraph ) Book Summary: Everyone talks about falling in love like it’s the most miraculous, life-changing thing in the world. Something happens, they say, and you know … That’s what happened when I met Kit Godden. I looked into his eyes and I knew. Only everyone else knew too. Everyone else felt exactly the same way. This is the story of one family, one dreamy summer – the summer when everything changes. In a holiday house by the sea, our watchful narrator sees everything, including many things they shouldn’t, as their brother and sisters, parents and older cousins fill hot days with wine and games and planning a wedding. Enter two brothers – irresistible, charming, languidly sexy Kit and surly, silent Hugo. Suddenly there’s
